Payment

No, we do not charge any extra fees. The listed price is the price you pay. The only thing you may need to pay for is getting yourself to the tour start point.

We understand that you may not have a printer handy when you’re traveling so it is not necessary to bring a copy of your ticket with you. We will only ask for the name the booking was placed in on arrival.

Any of our standard tours, and occassionally some of our special ones, can be taken for the same price per person as the ticket price of either £10 or £12 per person, depending on the tour.

There are no group discounts available, with some exceptions as below:

Our Discover Dundee Waterfront and City Centre Welcome / Orientation tours have group discounts of 10% of groups over 10, and 20% for groups over 20.

Charity / non-profit groups: If a charity is organising a group tour i.e. for it’s service users or young people groups, the cost per person only applies for the users and staff members can accompany free of charge. This also applies to carers required to accompany someone, with carers being free of charge. Get in touch with us before making a booking.

Educational groups: Groups from education institutions including schools, colleges, universities etc. can receive a discounted educational rate of £7.50 per student for any of our standard £10 per ticket tours. Staff are also free of charge.

Preparation

All our tours are based in Dundee including Broughty Ferry, many of them close to or at the waterfront so think windy, possibly raining and most likely cold! There is a lot of standing in one place and even in summer the wind chill coming in along with standing in a shady spot can be cold so we always recommend wrapping up warm and being waterproof.

Many of our tours go up or down stairs or onto grass so sensible shoes too please.

Not much, you don’t need to bring a ticket we’ll just ask for the name the booking was made in when you arrive. We do suggest you bring appropriate clothing with you for the season although our tours can be cold even in the summer so an extra jumper never hurt, and neither does having a brolly just in case!

Reservation

You must get in touch with us 24 hours ahead of your scheduled tour for a full refund. Within 24 hours we can still reschedule your tour to another date. There are no refunds for cancellations within 24 hours of your tour, or if you decide not to show up.

Yes you must book in advance. Reservations are required for guaranteed spots on all tours. Reservations help us determine the number of guides we need to ensure that our groups remain manageable and enjoyable, and they allow us to notify you of changes to the tour due to weather or anything that could disturb the tours.

If you turn up you may be able to join the tour if it’s running and there are spaces available, but we cannot guarantee anything. If you want to join us at the last minute you can book online right up until just before the start of the tour, or call us on 07446 625682 and we can give you up to the minute availability. However, if calling just before the tour begins we may not be available to answer.

Weather

We do tours in the rain, snow, wind and any other weather conditions that nature decides to throw at us. After all, we’re in North East Scotland! If the weather is unsafe for any reason, the trip will be cancelled or postponed. You will be notified the week of your trip if there are changes due to weather.

If you feel that you are unable to attend because of the weather just get in touch with us on 07446 625682 and let us know, we’ll normally be able to reschedule you to another date.
